2019 Smart Start Youth Summit

SMART START Youth Summit is a free, all-expenses paid weekend, leadership retreat. It equips 180 youth aged 13-24 from the National Capital Region with the tools and information they need to have a smart start into their future.

The documentary The West Indian Domestic Scheme Domestic Pioneers is an oral and community history project started in 2010 by Black History Ottawa and Jaku Konbit. The documentary, directed by Garmamie Sideau, sought to show the contributions of Caribbean women to the National Capital
